AITKD is a Christ-centered, community-supported martial arts ministry building strong bodies, grounded minds, and Christ-centered lives.
Our mission is to share the Gospel, cultivate Christ-like character, and develop world-class martial artists who inspire and impact their communities.
Because of your support, kids, teens, and adults in southwest Missouri are growing stronger, more disciplined, and hearing the life-changing story of Jesus.

Founded in 1988 by a Christian black belt looking to make a difference in his community and be a light on a candlestick!
Dedicated to the Lord in 2020 as an intentional evangelistic and discipleship outreach.
Registered as a 501c3 in 2020 we began seeking support from God’s people to help us grow the ministry and reach more people!
Six Volunteer Instructors and two more in training for adult classes, and advances student volunteers for the AITKids classes.
We estimate more than 500 people have started or been in at least one class, allowing us to share Christ with them!
25 Black belts have been promoted through the program proving the quality, legacy, and reputation of AITKD.
Three locations are currently active in churches throughout our communities. We are praying and planning for expansion!
With guests, spectators, families, and friends, we estimate the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been heard more than 10,000 times!
Multiple professions of faith as a direct response to AITKD classes, and have heard many testimonies of seeds planted!
We have heard hundreds of testimonies about the spiritual impact AITKD has contributed to in the life of believers!
We believe every life has incredible purpose and potential in line with God’s will! We freely offer classes to everyone, especially those that could not otherwise afford it, operating under these core values…

Martial arts enhances physical fitness, mental focus, and emotional well-being. It builds strength, discipline, confidence, and resilience while fostering respect and a sense of community. Practitioners gain valuable life skills like perseverance, goal-setting, and self-control, making martial arts a powerful tool for personal growth at any age. This class for all students 10+ gives us an incredible opportunity to share the gospel many times a week!

Devotions after a workout provide a meaningful way to reflect, recharge, and realign spiritually. Following physical activity, the mind is often more focused, and the heart more open, creating an ideal moment for prayer, gratitude, and connection with God. This practice fosters a sense of peace and purpose, helping to balance physical effort with spiritual growth. It strengthens discipline, encourages reflection on personal and spiritual goals, and builds a deeper sense of community when shared with others. Devotions after a workout transform the experience into not just physical renewal but also spiritual restoration. We use this time to faithfully present the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Our Christ-centered message is carried to the martial arts community through tournaments, fighting leagues, and conferences! We want to show the world a different and better way in the love and grace of almighty God!

We love hosting public women’s self-defense seminars where basic combative techniques and awareness training take place! Many testimonies have come to us about the immediate impact, and of course, we share Jesus with all who attend!

Discipling leaders is essential for building strong, effective communities and organizations. When leaders are intentionally mentored and spiritually nurtured, they develop the skills, wisdom, and character needed to guide others with integrity and vision. By investing in the growth of leaders, we ensure they are equipped to inspire, empower, and influence those around them, creating a lasting impact. Discipleship helps leaders stay grounded in faith, remain accountable, and lead with compassion, fostering an environment of trust, growth, and service.
